We are seeking a highly organized, professional, and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support the HR department with day-to-day administrative and employee-related activities. The HR Assistant will help maintain employee records, assist with recruitment and onboarding, coordinate HR processes, respond to employee questions, and ensure HR documentation is accurate and up to date.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, maintain confidentiality, demonstrate attention to detail, and be comfortable handling sensitive employee information.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and records.
- Assist with employee onboarding, including preparing paperwork and coordinating orientation.
- Support the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Coordinate interview schedules between candidates, hiring managers, and HR staff.
- Assist with background checks, employment verification, and other pre-employment activities as required.
- Prepare employment-related documents, letters, forms, and reports.
- Assist with employee status changes, transfers, promotions, and separations.
- Respond to routine employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and company programs.
- Direct complex employee questions to the appropriate HR representative.
- Assist with benefits administration and employee enrollment processes.
- Maintain accurate attendance, timekeeping, and employee information.
- Assist with payroll-related administrative tasks and provide information to payroll staff as needed.
- Enter and update employee information in HR information systems.
- Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Track required employee documents, certifications, and training records.
- Assist with employee training and development activities.
- Help coordinate meetings, orientations, employee events, and HR programs.
- Ensure HR documents are properly filed and maintained.
- Protect confidential employee and company information.
- Assist with HR projects and special assignments as requested.
- Stay informed about company HR policies and procedures.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous administrative, office, customer service, or HR experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and email.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as an HR Assistant, HR Coordinator, Administrative Assistant, or similar role.

- Basic understanding of employment practices and workplace policies.
- Experience with payroll or benefits administration.
- SHRM or other HR-related coursework/certification is a plus.

Work Environment
