Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Human Resources Advisor to provide professional and consultative support in the design, development, and administration of human resources programs and policies. This role provides guidance and expertise to support organizational HR initiatives, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies.
The HR Advisor serves as a subject matter expert in assigned HR areas and collaborates with departments to develop solutions, implement programs, and provide analytical insights. This position requires independent judgment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a structured, policy-driven environment. The HR Advisor may act on behalf of senior HR leadership in their absence. Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of four (4) years of professional-level experience in human resources or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience providing consultative HR support, guidance, and recommendations to departments or organizational units
- Experience interpreting and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, rules, regulations, and internal policies
- Experience designing, implementing, and administering HR programs and policies
- Experience performing data analysis, preparing reports, and providing recommendations to support HR initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to maintain knowledge of HR software systems, workflows, and process improvements
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Experience Preferences
- Experience with enterprise HR systems such as PeopleSoft Human Resources Management System, Kronos, or similar platforms
- Experience in program design, workforce analytics, employee relations, or policy administration
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to review detailed reports, records, and data for sustained periods
- Minimal physical exertion

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field
