This is a 12 month fixed-term Contract position
Job Purpose:
The Human Resources Manager will oversee the HR function to provide a comprehensive, strategic, and tactical HR service aligned with the business objectives. This role involves offering expert HR guidance, proactively advising on best practices, and directly managing casework. A deep understanding of the organization’s operations, business requirements, and commercial goals is essential to support the people management functions that underpin the company's culture.
The role encompasses key areas including employee relations, recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, reward management, professional development, communication, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead HR operations within a manufacturing/production environment, addressing both strategic and tactical needs.
- Serve as a role model for PCI Values and Behaviours in all professional interactions.
- Collaborate with departments, providing HR support and acting as an informational resource for both employees and managers, with a focus on building strong relationships.
- Champion equality and diversity initiatives, ensuring they are integrated into the organisation’s culture.
- Manage employee relations, including absenteeism, handling workplace disputes, grievances, and disciplinary actions. Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
- Oversee Performance Management by coaching managers to effectively manage employee performance and potential, providing guidance on performance-related processes and issues.
- Work with Talent Acquisition on recruitment efforts across all site levels, including talent acquisition campaigns, talent reviews, succession planning, and bench development.
- Manage the onboarding process ensuring alignment with PCI's cultural expectations, standards, and core processes.
- Advise on Total Rewards, including company and government benefits, compensation matters, and remuneration issues such as promotions. Lead compensation reviews and projects in line with company policies and guidelines.
- Support People Operations by generating accurate reports, managing HR data, and providing relevant information to managers and directors. Assist in the successful execution of HR initiatives, maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.
- Ensure the implementation and ongoing compliance of HR policies and procedures, in line with current German employment laws and PCI group standards.
- Serve as a trusted partner to senior managers, offering coaching and strategic advice on people-related issues.
- Collaborate with European PCI HR leaders to develop business and people solutions.
- Participate in relevant workshops and educational opportunities to continuously enhance HR knowledge and expertise.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, actively seeking ways to evolve and improve HR services.
- Manage the site HR budget, ensuring compliance with spending guidelines. Work with site leaders to develop the HR budget in alignment with the company’s overall financial objectives
