Role Overview

The Human Resources Manager demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area of CES engineering, CES sourcing, Suzhou site Quality team and production team.  In this role you will utilize experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Deliver HR solutions in the areas of talent management, culture and employee engagement, talent acquisition, people analytics, leadership development, workforce planning and labor/employee relations
  • Support a diverse, cross-functional client portfolio spanning CES Engineering, CES Sourcing, Suzhou site quality and production, etc., with flexibility to support select related functions as needed
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with people leaders and employees to foster open communication, collaboration and trust
  • Partner with the business to understand workforce needs and develop attraction strategies to that support business growth
  • Leverage the HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to bring the right solutions and expertise to the business
  • Monitor and problem-solve HR metrics by leveraging our FLIGHT DECK fundamentals to enable business priorities
  • Lead, implement and support GE Aerospace HR initiatives as appropriate
  • Other task assigned by functional or organizational leader.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in related area or unrelated area with additional 4 years of HR experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources and/or relevant work experience - roles that involve the application of labor and employment principles, operational and business management, HR experience in manufacturing area is preferred.
  • Based in Suzhou, but minimum 2 days a week working in Shanghai office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional experience in a human resources position is preferred
  • Knowledge of labor law and human resource practices
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Mandiran 
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proven facilitation ability
