Human Resource Intern - Summer 2026Job Description:
Primary Purpose of Role:
Are you in search of a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in Human Resources? Joining Allison Transmission as a Human Resources Summer Intern will immerse you in an innovative and dynamic setting, allowing you to gain experience within the manufacturing sector. Our hands-on internship provides the opportunity to partner closely with the HR team and gain experience in areas such as talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, and HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As an HR Intern, you will:
- Assist in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives, events, and programs.
- Participate and support in formal and informal training opportunities
- Contribute to projects supporting the Centers of Excellence (COE). Potential project areas include: Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Compensation, HR Operations, and Employee Relations
- Perform general duties to support the HR team’s daily operations and/or special projects.
- Network and learn about multiple functions (Corporate Functions and Manufacturing)

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development or similar Business Field
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities proficiently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic understanding of HR principles and practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
