SUMMARY:

The Human Resource Generalist (HRG) is responsible for ensuring the recruiting process aligns with the business objectives in respective departments. This includes activities that support LiveOnNY hiring process, total rewards and onboarding program and maintains the recruiting files in ATS and responsible for document management of personnel records.


In this position, you will collaborate with the HR team members and business groups to deliver value-added services.

Human Resources Generalist are expected to use prior experience and expertise to contribute to process improvement and business workflows.  The role supports and fosters the mission of the organization and its commitment to organ and tissue donation.


Schedule

Work Hours: 9am -5:30pm Monday -Friday

Work Location: In-Office


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a business resource for other positions in the department.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:


Conducts weekly talent strategy meetings with respective business departments to align on business needs and objectives.


  • Responsible for full cycle recruitment, i.e., create/update job descriptions, screening and selection of talented candidates, design of structured interview questions, create offer letters for new hires, promotions and transfers and responsible person for onboarding and talent management.

  • Participates in onboarding of new hires and ensures seamless transition into respective departments. 

  • Maintain knowledge of all employment regulations and collaborate with the Learning and Development team to ensure new hire orientation meet organizational guidelines. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.

  

  • Acts as a benefits resources for staff. Assists in processing benefit enrollment, termination and change forms.

  • Creates and maintains all employee personnel, medical and training files and records. Maintains and ensures confidentiality of all proprietary information at LiveOnNY.

  • Answer internal and external questions, by phone and in person on matters related to job opportunities, benefits and general information. Provide consistent answers that can be supported by the organization's human resources policies.

  • Coordinates termination process and paperwork. Schedules exit interviews for voluntary resignations and tracks data for impact analysis.

  

  • Acts as the LiveOnNY culture ambassador for driving internal and external awareness of company’s core values. Acts as a spokesperson for teamwork, positivity, accountability, integrity and honesty.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

 

Required:

Minimum of four years human resources generalist experience or Bachelor’s degree and two-year human resources generalist experience, including 1-2 years recruiting. Excellent communication, interpersonal, judgment skills and employment law knowledge required. Basic knowledge of human resources principles and practices required. An ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of personnel work and convey a positive and professional image to applicants and employees. Strong technical skills (Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, Work); Adobe, HRIS and ATS reporting and systems navigation.


Preferred:

Master's degree preferred.

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common journals and documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write simple communications and documents. Ability to effectively present information to co-workers, the general public and management.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.



REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Salary Range: $85,000.00/Yr. -  $95,000.00/Yr.
