The Big Task

As the HR Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the employee lifecycle from candidate to team member. You will coordinate recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, HR administration, and HR systems while helping ensure employees receive exceptional support throughout their employment journey. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing people interaction with process execution and wants to build a long-term career in Human Resources.

Key ResponsibilitiesRecruiting & Talent Acquisition
  • Coordinate recruiting activities including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
  • Conduct initial phone screens and provide recommendations to hiring managers and the HR Manager.
  • Build relationships with trade schools, workforce development organizations, and recruiting partners.
Onboarding & Offboarding
  • Coordinate onboarding activities from offer acceptance through orientation.
  • Coordinate employee separation processes, asset recovery, and exit documentation.
Employee Engagement & Communications
  • Coordinate employee recognition programs including birthdays, anniversaries, milestones, and appreciation initiatives.
  • Assist with planning and execution of employee events and engagement activities.
  • Create employee communications, newsletters, announcements, and HR updates.
  • Support employer branding efforts and HR-related social media content.
Employee Support & HR Administration
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding HR programs, PTO, benefits, onboarding, and company policies.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and HR records.
  • Coordinate uniform ordering, inventory management, and clothing allowance administration.
  • Maintain records for certifications, licenses, training compliance, EPA certifications, and NATE certifications.
Desired Skills and ExperienceRequired
  • 1–3 years of Human Resources, recruiting, administrative, customer service, or related experience.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong time management, organization, and follow-through skills.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting recruiting and hiring processes.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and applicant tracking systems.
  • Experience in HVAC, home services, construction, skilled trades, manufacturing, or other fast-paced operational environments.
  • Desire to grow and advance within Human Resources.
