Position Summary:
The HR Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department while serving as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for employees, applicants, new hires, volunteers, and visitors. This position supports the day to day functions of the HR office, with a primary focus on onboarding and pre-employment activities, employment documentation, recordkeeping, and general administrative support. The HR Coordinator helps ensure a positive new hire experience, accurate and timely processing of required documentation, and efficient HR office operations while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and a high level of customer service.
Position Requirements:
Formal Education / Training:
High school diploma required
Workplace Experience:
At least three years of clerical/office experience. Strong organizational skills
Proven record of strong customer service skills
Equipment and Skills Training:
Intermediate to advance Microsoft Excel & Word
Excellent interpersonal skills, both on the phone and in person.
Physical Environment:
Office and all areas pertinent to position
Physical Effort:
Prolonged sitting, consistent keyboard and terminal usage, affective oral and written communication, standing, bending and stooping for filing purposes.
Key Results:
Facilitates the new hire onboarding process including scheduling onboarding appointments and ensuring completion of required onboarding task.
Processes background checks and enters Form I9 information into E-Verify.
Makes orientation packets, submits IT tickets and badges for new hires
Distributes incoming mail and updates HR forms as needed.
Directs incoming phone calls and walk-ins
Performs filing/scanning responsibilities in a timely manner, ensuring all documents are filed/scanned by the end of each week.
Completes Verifications of Employment.
Coordinates recognition items such as monthly birthdays for staff.
Onboard all volunteers to the organization, works with Volunteer Coordinator to ensure all onboarding activities are complete.
Orders office supplies and tracks inventory.
May coordinate or assist with hospital-wide employee events and projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
