Job Description
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a pivotal role in aligning people strategies with business goals and elevating organizational performance. This role partners closely with multiple business units and senior leaders to drive organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent and leadership development, performance management, and culture-building initiatives. The HRBP serves as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing data-driven insights, coaching, and guidance on organizational design, team health, and change management, while fostering an inclusive, high-performance environment.
The position serves as a senior consultant to management on people and organizational matters. The HRBP proactively assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and develops solutions in collaboration with business and other HR stakeholders. This role provides data-informed guidance on organizational design, team effectiveness, and talent outcomes, while maintaining a high level of business literacy – including understanding each team’s financial performance, near- and long-term plans, and culture. The position may include international human resources responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational business goals.
- Workforce Planning: Lead workforce analysis and planning to ensure the right talent is in place to meet future needs.
- Talent Management: Drive initiatives in talent retention and engagement, succession planning, performance management, and leadership development, fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Organizational Development: Support change management, culture transformation, and employee engagement strategies.
- Data-Driven Insights: Use HR analytics to inform decisions and measure the impact of HR initiatives.
- Employee Relations: Provide guidance on complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance and fostering a positive work environment.
- Policy Communication: Enforce HR policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Coaching and Development: Provide coaching to managers and leaders on HR-related issues, helping them to effectively manage their teams and develop talent.
- Change Management: Support organizational change by aligning people strategies with business transformations, ensuring smooth transitions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a strategic HRBP or senior HR role (multi-country experience/exposure a plus)
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate business priorities into effective people strategies
- Proactive and solutioning-oriented approach with demonstrated resourcefulness and sound judgment
- Excellent interpersonal consulting, and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, influence senior leaders, and effectively collaborate across teams
- Proven ability to operate both independently and collaboratively within a matrixed environment
- Proficiency in HRIS and data analytics tools, with experience using data to inform decisions and improve HR practices
- Deep understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and organizational development principles
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to develop long-term, scalable strategies that support business objectives
- Experience leading or supporting change management and cultural transformation initiatives
