What you'll do
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for salaried positions, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, offers, and onboarding.
- Coordinate onboarding programs to ensure a successful employee experience.
- Partner with leaders to support workforce planning and organizational growth.
- Partner with organizational leaders to develop people strategies that support workforce planning, and talent acquisition.
- Coach and influence leaders on employee & labour relations, performance management, leadership effectiveness, collective bargaining, negotiations, and organizational change.
- Lead and support workplace investigations, provide recommendations, and assist leaders in resolving complex employee relations matters.
- Interpret and apply employment legislation, company policies, and collective agreements.
- Coordinate learning and development initiatives and support succession planning.
- Support performance management processes and employee development initiatives.
- Assist leaders in coaching, employee engagement, and talent development strategies.
- Coordinate and deliver learning and development programs.
- Contribute to succession planning and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
- Partner with leaders to implement organizational change initiatives while supporting employee engagement and business continuity.
- Analyze HR metrics, workforce trends, and employee data to support informed decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR programs, processes, and employee experience through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build strong partnerships with leaders and employees while fostering a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, or similar advisory role.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience with a unionized workforce and interpreting collective agreements.
- Demonstrated success partnering with leaders to resolve complex employee and labour relations matters.
- Strong working knowledge of employment legislation, human rights legislation, and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, coaching, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and build trusted relationships across all levels of an organization.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CHRP or CHRL designation (or actively pursuing certification).
- Experience within the construction industry.
- Experience supporting multiple business locations across Canada.
- Workplace investigation training and/or experience.
- Experience supporting organizational change initiatives and leadership development programs.
