Job Description
As the HCM Systems Architect and Product Owner , you will help shape the vision of our HR Technology team. Your responsibilities will include designing, project managing, and consulting across the Workday HCM suite. You will collaborate with the HRIT team, functional Workday HR Systems Managers and teams, HR process owners, and other HR and DEI partners. You can think across different areas, understand the possible effects of system changes, and maintain a focus on process excellence, simplification, automation, and user experience. Additionally, you will be the HCM Product Owner, supporting the Director, HR Technology, and the HRIT team. You will report to our Director, HR Technology.
Your Responsibilities:
- Be the HCM Product Owner, working with HR process owners on HRIT needs, prioritizing and managing the product backlog, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions while following data privacy requirements. Provide expert support to the HRIT team to ensure the successful execution of projects. Support process owners through new technology required approvals.
- Help shape the vision of the HR Technology team, focusing on process excellence, simplification, automation, and user experience. Encourage a mindset of continuous improvement and process automation to enhance efficiency.
- Support the broader HR Technology team in analyzing the impact of system changes in several areas across the technology landscape and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Workday HCM system and other HR systems, ensuring agreement on our goals and creating an optimal user experience.
- Collaborate with teams and HR process owners to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of the HR technology stack, configurations, and processes.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to improve the Workday HCM system and related processes.
- Project management, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelors degree
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 8+ years experience with the Workday HCM toolset and other HR systems, including configuration, implementation, integration, and support.
- Expertise with HR processes and best practices.
- Understanding of the broader possible effects of system changes.
- Ability to work with multiple teams and process owners.
- Experience in a product owner role, with an understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Workday certification in HCM or related modules.
- Experience in a leadership role within an HR team.
