This role requires a seasoned, strategic, and hands-on Human Capital Business Partner, dedicated to the Symmetry Business Unit within Old Mutual Wealth.
Partnering closely with the Symmetry Exco and Leadership team but taking the lead to embed the people strategy that drives performance, and reflects the unique culture being shaped,
Working in a way that reflects the Symmetry build mode: in-person, intentional, and collaborative, however not enforcing presence for its own sake, rather creating the proximity and momentum needed to build well, lead well, and embed culture in a meaningful way.

Key areas of responsibilities:
  • Lead the People Strategy for Symmetry — shaping and delivering a roadmap that supports the business’s growth, transformation, and long-term success.
  • Partner with the Executive Team to align talent, capability, and culture to business priorities.
  • Build a High-Performance Culture that reflects Symmetry’s identity: entrepreneurial, professional, collaborative, and agile.
  • Develop and Implement Change Initiatives that support organisational evolution and readiness, including role clarity, structural changes, and leadership transitions.
  • Facilitate Talent Acquisition and Development across all levels and disciplines, ensuring attraction and retention of the right people to grow with the business.
  • Embed Leadership and Capability Building, ensuring succession depth and readiness in critical roles.
  • Advise on Engagement, Culture, and Inclusion in ways that are context-specific and values-aligned.
  • Execute Group HC Requirements Work closely and align with OMW Human Capital to deliver on all HC Practices to Group (e.g., remuneration cycles, performance, governance reporting) effectively.
  • Use Data and Insights to inform people strategies, workforce planning, and business decision-making.
  • Act as a Culture Carrier, helping embed the Symmetry way of working across teams.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • At least 8 years’ broad Human Capital experience, and strategic partnering with executives
  • Strong track record in change leadership, organisational development, and talent strategy
  • Experience in financial services or investment management environments preferred
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial/Organisational Psychology, or related field
  • Self-directed and delivery-focused with strong EQ, influence, and commercial acumen
  • Able to work in high-change, high-accountability environments
