About the role
This is a site-based Health, Safety, Environment and Quality role, responsible for overseeing hospitality operations within the village and ensuring a safe, compliant and high-quality living environment for all residents and staff. Working a residential 8:6 roster and living on site, you will take a hands-on approach to safety leadership across accommodation, catering and cleaning services.
As a key support to village management, you will lead inspections, safety engagement and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring hospitality operations meet company standards and legislative requirements. Travel to site is provided from Adelaide or Port Augusta, with transport arranged to and from the village.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee health, safety, environment and quality standards across all village hospitality operations
- Conduct regular inspections of accommodation, catering and cleaning services to ensure compliance with company policies and legislative requirements
- Deliver safety inductions and toolbox talks to hospitality teams
- Monitor, report and follow up on hazards, incidents and corrective actions
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on food safety, hygiene and housekeeping standards - Collaborate closely with village management to maintain a safe, compliant and comfortable environment
- Ensure emergency response procedures are clearly understood and regularly practiced by hospitality staff
About you
- Certificate III in Work Health and Safety or equivalent qualification (evidence required)
- Current SA Manual Driver’s License
- Experience implementing HSEQ standards in hospitality or accommodation services (FIFO experience is not required!)
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping compliance
- Strong understanding of risk management, hazard identification, and incident reporting
- Valid working rights in Australia for the next 12 months (sponsorship NOT available)
- Ability to confidently pass a pre-employment medical (to ensure you can work safely in remote conditions)
