The Opportunity
We are seeking an HSE Tech to provide crucial support for our Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management programs. You will be responsible for the meticulous data entry and upkeep of all core HSE platforms, including KPA, Veriforce, and Fleet Management, ensuring their reporting systems are accurate and current for compliance. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, technically capable individual eager to directly support a foundational function of our safety operations.
What You Will Be Doing
As an HSE Tech, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our operations meet all health, safety, and environmental standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collect, organize, and verify HSE data from field operations (incident reports, training records, inspections).
- Assist with maintenance of HSE databases and dashboards.
- Support tracking and analysis of HSE performance metrics.
- Maintain and assist with updating HSE policies, procedures, and controlled documents.
- Manage HSE documentation and ensure timely archiving of incident reports, inspections, and other HSE records.
- Assist with preparation of reports and submissions internally and to regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate HSE meetings, prepare agendas and meeting minutes, and track follow-up actions.
- Support the planning and logistics of the HSE training sessions.
- Manage and review contractor compliance records, training certifications and HSE onboarding documentation.
- Provide support for fleet management and compliance programs.
- Assist in developing and distributing internal HSE communications and materials.
- Maintain inventory and coordination of safety equipment delivery to field (i.e., fire extinguishers, gas monitors, stickers, signs, spill materials, etc.).
- Maintain and update HSE management systems (i.e. KPA, Tyndale Online Store, Veriforce, Fleet Management, INR Intranet HSE Resource Page, etc.) and reporting systems.
- Assist in the communication of lessons learned and safety and environmental alerts across departments.
Your Background:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in an HSE or administrative support role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Working knowledge of HSE management systems including KPA and Veriforce is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint); experience with Power BI or HSE software systems is beneficial.
- Strong organizational, reporting, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and coordinate effectively between departments and field locations.
- Capability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to see, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.
- Able to operate standard office/computer equipment.
- Must be able to perform physical work – exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
