We’re seeking a motivated HSE Specialist to support safety initiatives across our Eagle Ford asset. This role is key to improving safety outcomes, working closely with leadership and field teams to ensure compliance, promoting a proactive safety culture, and advancing continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluation: Conducts regular evaluation of work conducted on PDP facilities and drill/completion sites; evaluates safe work practices and ensures equipment is operating in a safe manner. Maintain thorough evaluation documentation. Provides coaching and feedback to technicians and risk assessments to leadership.
- Compliance: Stays up to date on safety compliance for all applicable governing agencies including OSHA. Develops, writes, and implements new policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Incident/Emergency Coordination: Responds to emergency or after-hours HSE calls and provides incident and emergency event management support.
- Investigation: Leads in-depth investigations of safety and environmental incidents. Applies root cause analysis and recommends corrective actions, with thorough documentation. Sees action items through to completion.
- Training: Meticulously creates, tracks and records personnels’ safety and refresher training. Schedules and otherwise ensures personnel are up to date on all required safety and refresher training, including but not limited to: H2S, 1st Aid/CPR, Defensive Driving, Forklift, Working from Heights, Lock Out/Tag Out.
- 5 Years of safety experience within oil and gas operations
- Knowledge of OSHA regulatory compliance
- Effective Communication skills in 1-1 and group settings
- Computer based training creation capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft based products
- Experience with contractor management from a safety perspective
- Emergency and Incident Response Certification
- Root Cause Failure Analysis Certification
- Experience with contractor management from a safety perspective
- Experience in environmental regulatory matters
- Exposure to Power BI and SQL Server tools
Skills Required
