We are seeking a proactive, hands‑on Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Lead to champion our Zero & Beyond culture and drive world‑class safety performance at our facility. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with site leadership to design, implement, and continuously improve programs that protect our people, safeguard our environment, and ensure full regulatory compliance.
This is a high‑visibility role for an HSE professional who wants to be on the plant floor, influence culture, and lead meaningful change while contributing to a global organization recognized for operational excellence.
What You’ll DoBe a Visible, Influential HSE Leader- Spend at least 50% of your time on the plant floor, coaching teams, identifying risks, and reinforcing safe behaviors.
- Lead, mentor, and develop one direct report (HSE Technician).
- Partner with site leadership to embed HSE priorities into daily operations and strategic decisions.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives, safety committees, and behavior‑based safety programs (Zero & Beyond, SafeStart, Consequence Thinking).
- Promote proactive hazard identification and empower employees to own safety.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and training programs aligned with Prysmian’s HSE management systems and regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, DOT).
- Ensure compliance with environmental permits and reporting requirements.
- Support ISO 14001 & 45001 certification activities.
- Lead incident reporting and investigation processes to ensure accurate documentation, root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and knowledge sharing.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting of corporate HSE metrics.
- Work with corporate QHSE, facility leadership, and cross‑regional teams to share best practices and align strategies.
- Participate in Kaizen, Gemba walks, and other continuous improvement events where HSE input is essential.
- Contribute to additional corporate and site‑level HSE initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of prior direct experience in a manufacturing setting with driving safety culture and employee engagement, OSHA compliance, incident management, standards and procedural development, auditing, and training.
- Experience driving safety culture, regulatory compliance, incident management, and training in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, worker’s compensation, environmental reporting, and waste management.
- Experience with ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels.
