Are you passionate about creating safer workplaces, driving continuous improvement, and building strong management systems? Join Hitachi Energy as a QHSE Coordinator and play a key role in strengthening our Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental performance.

In this position, you will help maintain and improve our integrated management system while promoting a proactive safety culture across the local operation. You will collaborate with multiple teams, influence stakeholders at different levels, and contribute to operational excellence initiatives that support employee safety, environmental responsibility, quality performance, and customer satisfaction.

How you'll make an impact
  • Coordinate and improve the integrated management system aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
  • Support internal, external, customer, and certification audits.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, corporate, and customer QHSE requirements.
  • Promote a proactive health, safety, and environmental culture across operations.
  • Lead risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident prevention activities.
  • Coordinate corrective and preventive actions resulting from audits, incidents, and nonconformities.
  • Monitor and analyze QHSE performance indicators and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support training programs, awareness campaigns, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Partner with operations and project teams to embed QHSE requirements into daily activities.
  • Provide guidance and coaching on QHSE standards and best practices.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
     
Your background
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Safety, Quality, or a related field.
  • Experience in Health, Safety and Environment within industrial, energy, electrical services, manufacturing, or project execution environments.
  • Experience working with electrical services, electrical infrastructure, power systems, substations, transformers, or related projects.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety, environmental management, risk assessment, and legal compliance.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Advanced English and fluent Spanish.
  • Current DC-3 certifications in confined spaces, scaffolding assembly, working at heights, gas verification, industrial safety (supervisory level), electrical risk work, and NOM-031.
  • Current First Aid and Fire Prevention/Extinguisher Use certifications.(Customer requirement).
  • DC-5 External Training Agent certification.

Skills Required
