HSE Specialist I
Supervisor: Director of HSE
Location: RMS Albuquerque – Santa Teresa, NM – Project Jupiter (Data Center)
RMS is looking to add an experienced full-time HSE Manager to our growing company. The following requirements must be met in order to be considered for this position.

Hourly: $30 to $40 hourly, plus per diem, depending on experience and qualifications.
Summary: The position ensures and promotes Safety First, along with holding safety meetings for the employee(s) at the job site. Maintain customer focus while following all State and Federal laws. Follows RMS Cranes, LLC. and our customers’ safety and environmental policies.
Responsibilities:
- Must have the ability to communicate Safety policies with the Customer and RMS Cranes employee(s) before and during the job task.
- Performs field audits at our customers job site for proper setup of the crane and equipment.
- Daily input of all audits, findings, incidents, investigations, and corrective actions into Ideagen software application. .
- Verifies proper rigging and techniques are being utilized during the lift.
- Audits RMS Crane Operator, Rigger, and Signal Person for company issued credentials.
- Audits the Quarterly Inspection (slings, shackles, and chains) for each crane.
- Audits the RMS Crane Driver of the semi-truck for proper inspection logs and logbooks.
- Monitors/inspects crane, semi-truck, pick-up trucks, and/or trailers for tire wear and vehicle inspection reports.
- Must be able to perform Crane Operator and Rigging assessments on RMS Cranes employee(s), record information, and send reports to Branch office.
- Must be able to investigate, interview, and record information on all Near Misses and Incidents.
- Must have the ability to read, interpret, and calculate the load percentage by utilizing the load charts of the crane’s owner and operation manual.
- Understands and is able to recognize proper rigging techniques to ensure safe lifting of the load.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- (Preferred) Minimum of 5 years of experience in Safety/Crane/Construction operations.
- (Preferred) AAS or BS in Health and Safety related discipline.
- OSHA 30 hour for Construction
- OSHA 510
- Strong organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Able to self-manage prioritize and coordinate multiple daily tasks and work within tight deadlines.
- Must have strong Phone/Tablet/Computer Applications skills and learning ability.
- Bilingual preferred
Skills Required
