Job Description
Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Serve as HSE technical lead for the Development Centres portfolio, with expertise in Chemical Management and Industrial Hygiene.
Ensure regulatory compliance and consistent application of HSE standards across operations.
Conduct exposure assessments and interpret health data to identify hazards and ensure compliance with industry standards and internal program requirements.
Develop strategy for compliance, continuous improvement, standardisation, and risk reduction.
Lead systemic change using change management experience (e.g., Prosci, Kotter). Drive accountability for HSE program execution, including incident investigation and root cause analysis.
Use digital HSE platforms (e.g., Enablon, Intelex, SAP EHS) to support program delivery.
Coach and mentor site HSE professionals, build capability, and foster a culture of ownership and engagement.
Champion the consistent application of the Sandoz Business System (or equivalent), integrating Lean practices into H&S programs.
What you will bring to the role:
Degree in Chemical Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety with focus on chemical safety, industrial hygiene, or process management.
Certified HSE professional (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP, CMIOSH) and/or certified Industrial Hygienist.
5+ years of HSE leadership with expertise in exposure assessment, environmental impact, and chemical lifecycle management.
Strong knowledge of toxicology, occupational exposure limits, and risk assessment methodologies.
Competent in Integrated Work Systems and/or Lean; Lean certified.
Fluent in English with strong communication skills; other languages desirable.
Collaborative leader in matrix environments, builds cross-functional alignment and engages senior stakeholders.
Results-driven, strategic thinker with practical execution
Willing to travel up to 20%.
