In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind all plant safety, health, and environmental initiatives—owning compliance, shaping culture, and partnering directly with leadership to ensure every employee goes home safely. You won’t just maintain standards—you’ll elevate them.
Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Implement and maintain HSE management systems, review the GAP process and ensuring timely closure of corrective actions.
- Advise the plant leadership team on any updates or changes to applicable regulations and standards, maintaining high focus on the Brambles Absolute Safety First Rules
- Maintain focus on the emergency protocols and ensure full compliance. Oversee the day-to-day HSE activities of direct reports, ensuring performance goals are achieved and compliance maintained.
- Coordinate and drive improvement and action plans to meet compliance targets.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through active leadership empowering colleagues to participate in Safety First discussions in plant meetings and leadership sessions, including Learning Teams, ensure Safety Differently ethos is understood and practiced within all sites.
- Monitor and review training activities to ensure adherence to safety standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead investigations for all incidents and significant near misses, ensuring lessons learned are communicated across the network. Continuously evaluate and improve plant-level HSE practices, sharing best practices and innovations across the network.
We are seeking a hands‑on HSE Leader to oversee all health, safety, and environmental programs at our plant. This role is responsible for driving compliance, conducting safety audits, investigating incidents, and leading continuous improvement initiatives that support a strong safety culture. You will serve as the plant’s subject matter expert on HSE regulations, employee safety, and environmental standards.
What You Will Do
Key Accountabilities:
Lead plant-wide health, safety, and environmental programs to meet regulatory and company standards
Conduct safety audits, identify risks, and drive corrective actions
Oversee and coach HSE support staff; partner with HR on performance and development
Collaborate with plant leadership on safety strategy, training, and employee engagement
Facilitate root‑cause investigations for incidents and near misses; implement preventive solutions
Promote safety culture through meetings, training, and employee involvement
Track and maintain HSE metrics and reporting requirements.
Ensure timely communication and documentation of procedure updates
Monitor regulatory changes and ensure plant compliance with all state and federal HSE requirements
Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives to elevate safety performance
What You Will Bring
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Safety, Engineering, or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in a high‑volume manufacturing environment
Prior supervisory or team leadership experience
Experience implementing and managing HSE programs
Strong knowledge of OSHA, environmental regulations, and incident investigation practices
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
English required; Other language fluency a plus (i.e. Spanish, Haitian Creole, etc.)
Skills & Knowledge:
A proactive leader who can influence at all levels of the plant
Someone passionate about building a zero‑harm culture and improving systems
Strong investigative skills with the ability to identify root causes and drive sustainable change
A collaborative partner who can engage teams, drive accountability, and foster continuous improvement
What to Expect
Additional Site Details:
Working schedule could vary anytime between 7am-6pm depending on business needs, such as 7am-4pm, 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm; occasional support on other operational shifts as needed
Must be flexible with work hours across all shifts for site safety training, incident investigations, plant audits and ad-hoc HSE projects

Compensation Statement:
The salary range for this position is $62,000 to $80,000 per year. Salary & hourly ranges provided take into account a wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications, geographic differentials and other business and organizational needs. Therefore, actual amounts offered may be higher or lower than the range provided. Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation may be part of a total offering beyond medical & retirement benefits and may include other monetary incentives or business benefits.
