Job Summary
The role of an HSE Officer in the construction field is to ensure that the construction site is a safe and healthy environment for workers, visitors, and the public. They play a critical role in identifying and mitigating potential hazards and risks, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, and promoting a culture of safety and health on the construction site.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures for the construction site
- Conducting regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and risks to health and safety
- Identifying and reporting on health and safety performance indicators to management
- Investigating and reporting on accidents, incidents, and near-misses
- Providing training and education to workers on health and safety procedures and practices
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and regulations
- Liaising with regulatory bodies and external auditors to ensure compliance and certification
- Conducting risk assessments and developing risk management strategies
- Developing and maintaining emergency response plans and procedures
- Conducting safety audits and ensuring corrective actions are taken where necessary.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 to 4 Years o HSE experience within the construction field
- OSHA / Diploma in Industrial Safety + Should meet government norms
- Good English language communication
- Willing to work in different work locations whenever required
Skills Required
- 2 to 4 years HSE experience within the construction field
- OSHA certification or Diploma in Industrial Safety and compliance with government norms
- Good English language communication
- Willingness to work at different work locations as required
