We are seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) professional to join the Honeywell Smart Energy HSE team in our Industrial Automation business. This individual will be a member of the IA Field HSE Leadership Team, responsible for driving HSE continuous improvement, compliance, and engagement within Smart Energy Field Services.  The role reports to the PA/IA Sr. Director HSE and has multiple direct reports.

As an HSE Manager, the successful candidate must be results driven and able to develop strong relationships with the Smart Energy business leaders.  The candidate must be compliance focused and provide hands-on support to projects with the ability to deploy continuous improvement through a strong MOS; to drive goals, objectives, improve culture and behaviors. 
We are looking for a strong people and process leader; capable of managing, coaching/mentoring HSE professionals across the Smart Energy Service business.  The individual must be a well-rounded leader that can manage health, safety and environmental programs in a field service environment.
 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing a compliance strategy; including the Honeywell HSE Management System, and regulatory requirements at all Smart Energy Service projects. 
  • Driving a heavy focus on injury reduction through cultural and behavioral initiatives.
  • Partner with the Smart Energy Service leadership to achieve goals and objectives. 
  • Ability to reduce the risk profile of projects in the Smart Energy Service by identifying gaps through self-assessments, audits, gembas, and agency or 3rd party inspections. 
  • Strong ability to use Accelerator/Lean Practices and Principles to develop, deploy and continuously improve HSE results and improve efficiencies.
  • Support Smart Energy Service projects with adequate reviews/visits/inspections to drive continuous improvement in HSE. 
  • Ensure consistent and effective auditing of regulatory requirements and Honeywell Level 1 & Level 2 Standards.

Qualifications

YOU HAVE
•    At least 8 years of progressive health and safety experience, with increased responsibility.
•    At least 3 years of leadership experience.
•    Knowledge and experience in field service desired, and natural gas pipeline experience a plus.
