Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain programs, systems, and procedures necessary to ensure the overall safety and health of associates and the plant with a focus on our zero harm culture.
• Assist in deploying the Zero Landfill Program initiative.
Conduct EHS training and maintain safety training records.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Engineers to formulate Risk assessment teams.
• Responsible for all HSE documentations & premises in sites.
• Responsible for implement Work Permits PTW, Work at height, Confined space Hot and Cold PTW
• Responsible for” PHR” process Hazard Review in work area.
• Responsible for recoded finding and risk control with safety team.
• Responsible for training the emergency team on evacuation plan “drills”.
• To ensure the thorough implementation of the procedures and working instructions.
• Monitor and control implementation of all procedures related to the maintenance and effectiveness of safety, lifesaving and emergency equipment and inspect work activities and equipment to ensure correct operation and that procedures are implemented. Ensure that effective records are kept and updated for all equipment under his control.
• Maintain and control daily HSE practices with regular checks of work sites, ensure that hazards are identified, precautionary measures are taken and advice trades Supervisors on HSE matters.
• Investigate all industrial and non-industrial incidents and accidents involving personnel, plant and equipment including dangerous occurrences. Analyze causes, determine future action to reduce these occurrences, prepare and maintain statistical records of all incidents.
Organizational Relationships:
- Supervision of: HSE Specialist and HSE Technicians
- Functional relationships with: Production Team Leaders and operators, and other plants’ departments.
- External Relationships: External Auditors, Civil Defense Authority and environmental authority, 10th of Ramadan Health & Safety Office, Fire Fighting Consultants & DNV
Education, Skills, Experience required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent in Environmental Science, or Safety Engineering.
• IGC NE bosh holder
• OSHA holder
• Mandatory certificate (IOSH)
• Years of Experience 0 – 5 years of experience in related field.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret regulations and data to make the appropriate recommendations to stakeholders.
- High Performance coaching skills
- Excellent in English and Arabic
- Proficient working knowledge of the MS Office Suite and demonstrated ability to learn other software as necessary
