The HSE Engineer II position at Honeywell is based in Gurgaon / UTC / UOP Office in India. This position provides HSE subject matter expertise to the UTC Office facility & UOP Business, particularly field operation across India and be the key point of contact for all HSE related matters. Reporting to the Honeywell Process Technology Field Services HSE Manager, you will assist Project and services Managers and all UOP internal customers to drive and achieve their HSE Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and HSE support to meet the legislation, customer and Honeywell HSE requirements.
This position is expected to provide HSE support to Offices (estimated 60% of the time) and Field Services (estimated 40% of the time)
Work schedule: Hybrid. with mandatory 4 days per week working at the Office and 1-day remote work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate cultural change to improve HSE awareness in the workplace to prevent injuries, illness and environmental impact by personally providing a strong example of HSE leadership presence across operational sites.
- Management System Tool – MST HSE system - Execute actions and update status
- Coordinate the Office Safety program for the Office
- Provide virtual HSE support to all Honeywell Process Technology Low Risk Offices located in other countries.
- Facilitate the development and maintenance of Risk Registers on sites listing identified hazards and safety issues, risk levels and all controls implemented to manage risks to a level as low as reasonably practicable.
- Deliver HSE training, arranging safety training courses where required and ensures that the appropriate records are maintained.
- Conduct and lead Gembas, safety inspections / audits and track corrective actions
- Conduct incident investigations and track corrective actions
- Assure compliance with Honeywell’s HSE corporate and Process Technology requirements and legislation
- Participate in contract risk reviews.
- Implementation of strategic health, safety and environment annual plans, including actions required to obtain ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 certification
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- 5+ years of progressive safety, health, and environmental experience within office , manufacturing, research and development, and/or field related businesses.
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices
- Knowledge of HSE Management Systems
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities
- Strong people and collaboration skills
- Experience in conducting HSE audits and inspections
- Proficient in general computer software use – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
