The VASA Fitness human resources team is looking for an HRIS Manager who has a passion for creating an integrated human capital management system strategy that matches the values and goals of VASA Fitness. POSITION SUMMARY
The HRIS Manager serves as the strategic lead and subject matter expert for governing VASA Fitness's HR systems. This role is responsible for system configuration and implementations, data integrity, reporting infrastructure, integration management, and platform optimization. The HRIS Manager partners with operations, IT, Finance, and extended HR teams to ensure systems and processes are effectively understood and utilized with a continuous improvement mindset.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Program Design
- Serve as the strategic architect and system owner for VASA's transition from ADP to Dayforce, translating People, Payroll, and Operations requirements into a scalable HCM system design
- Partner with HR, IT, Finance, and Operations leadership to build and execute a phased Dayforce implementation roadmap that supports VASA's growth projection
- Define system configuration standards, security roles, and workflow design for core HR, payroll, time & attendance, and benefits modules within Dayforce
- Evaluate and recommend HRIS enhancements, integrations, and automation opportunities that align with VASA's long-term People strategy
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure Dayforce configuration and data practices comply with federal, state, and multi-state employment, wage & hour, and payroll tax requirements across all VASA markets
- Maintain data privacy, security, and access controls within the HRIS in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations
- Partner with Legal and Payroll to validate that system-generated reports and processes support audit readiness and regulatory reporting
- Monitor Dayforce release updates and evaluate new features for compliance impact prior to deployment
Escalation Management & Expert Guidance
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for complex Dayforce configuration issues, data discrepancies, and system-related HR inquiries
- Provide expert guidance to HR, Payroll, and People Operations teams on Dayforce functionality, workarounds, and best practices during and after implementation
- Partner with Dayforce support and implementation consultants to troubleshoot and resolve critical system issues
- Lead root-cause analysis on recurring system issues and drive permanent process or configuration fixes
Operations Partnership & Resources
- Partner with club Operations leaders to ensure Dayforce supports field scheduling, time tracking, and labor management needs across all locations
- Collaborate with IT on integrations between Dayforce and other business systems
- Build training materials and lead system training for HR and Operations end users during the Dayforce rollout
- Act as the key liaison between VASA and Dayforce implementation partners throughout onboarding and go-live
Administration Oversight
- Own day-to-day administration of the Dayforce platform, including user access, security roles, workflows, and system configuration
- Manage data integrity across the HRIS, performing regular audits to ensure accuracy of employee records
- Oversee system upgrades, patches, testing, and enhancements to Dayforce with minimal disruption to HR operations
- Build and maintain HRIS reporting and dashboards to support People analytics and business decision-making
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of progressive experience in HRIS administration, including leading Dayforce implementations or major HCM system migrations
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience required
- Deep working knowledge of Dayforce HCM configuration, including payroll, time & attendance, benefits, and core HR modules
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end HRIS implementations, system migrations, or platform optimizations in a multi-location environment
- Proficiency with DayForce HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong negotiation and influencing capabilities
- Proactive, independent, and solutions-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

WORKING CONDITIONS
Primary work in a fitness facility and office setting. Temperature variations can occur. The environment includes some ambient noise such as talking and use of gym equipment and machinery.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
- Talking: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Physical Strength: Sitting, standing, and walking. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 30 pounds.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under limited standardization. Able to interpret various instructions and relay instructions to clients.
- Attendance is an essential duty of the position. Employees must work regularly scheduled shifts, during business hours to assist members and sell services in-person.
