Job Summary / Purpose:

The HRIS Analyst is responsible for managing all HR technology systems with a primary focus on Workday. The HR Analyst will configure, maintain, and offer support across multiple functional Workday areas; HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll, Compensation, and Talent, reporting, and security. This role will consult with HR and business leaders when implementing and enhancing processes to resolve complex tasks. In addition, this role is responsible for system upgrades and the implementation of additional applications and functionality in the future. The HRIS Analyst must drive automation and efficiency, while working in a fast-paced environment, playing an important role in improving business processes, ensuring compliance, regulations, and promoting user adoption to improve overall business performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements that influence informed recommendations and solutions for Workday modules
  • Lead projects with a deep understanding of Workday methodology and configuration knowledge
  • Identify opportunities to increase automation, streamline reporting, and reduce the amount of time required to complete certain tasks
  • Communicate business processes, technical implications, and risks/benefits to stakeholders
  • Implement and maintain security configuration and compliance
  • Conduct integrations and data migration with various vendors
  • Configure, test, and deploy system upgrades and enhancements, including semi-annual and weekly Workday releases. Help drive Workday testing strategy by defining test scenarios and overseeing process.
  • Understand and interpret data in Workday to support key areas like recruiting, compensation, absence, time tracking, and payroll
  • Develop and deliver complex custom reports, dashboards, and analytics to help drive business decisions
  • Assist with change management and act as the functional liaison between the HR, IT and business leaders
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues including data errors, security, process, and integration issues with a focus on identifying the root cause and creative problem-solving. Analyze and correct errors and ensure proper quality controls are in place to avoid future errors
  • Inform and provide guidance on when training/quick reference guides needs to be created or updated for pertinent system implementations, upgrades, and modifications. Provide appropriate communications as upgrades and modifications occur
  • Conduct audits for data quality/integrity and system maintenance, ensuring accurate data is delivered to all parties, including third parties
  • Required Skills, Education and Certifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years with Workday HCM
    • Workday Certification highly desired
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 15-20 pounds
    • Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged period of time throughout the work day
    • Ability to use standard office equipment such as personal computer, laptop, telephone, photocopy machine, etc.
