Join GTT to be part of a global mission to simply and securely connect people and data through innovative, AI-driven solutions. We empower curious, adaptive professionals to take ownership of their work, offering a culture where your ideas have a visible, real-world reach. If you are energized by complex challenges and a supportive team that lifts each other up, GTT is the place to build a rewarding career.
About the Role
At GTT, we rely on accurate data and simple, reliable systems to run our business well. This role sits at the intersection of HR, technology and data, helping ensure our people systems and processes work, our data can be trusted, and our teams can make informed decisions.
As an entry-level HRIS Analyst, you’ll be hands-on from day one: supporting our HR systems (Workday), solving real user issues, and helping us make better use of people data.
This is a strong entry point if you want to build practical expertise in HR technology and processes in a global environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Keep Our HR Systems Running Smoothly
- Support the day-to-day administration of Workday through business process design and configuration (Objective setting, performance assessment, merit process, bonus payout, hiring, recruiting, etc.)
- Act as a first point of contact for HR system queries, resolve issues or escalate where needed.
Own Data Quality
- Own data accuracy by completing employee data audits.
- Run regular checks and fix issues before they become problems.
- Support data uploads and large-scale updates.
Support Better Decisions with Data
- Maintain standard reports and dashboards (e.g. headcount, turnover).
- Deliver ad‑hoc reporting to HR and the business.
- Help improve how we use data, not just produce it.
HR Process Improvement & Innovation
At GTT, improving how work gets done is part of everyone’s role. We don’t expect you to have all the answers, but we do expect curiosity, initiative, and the confidence to suggest better ways of doing things.
- Take an active interest in how HR processes work today and where they create friction for employees or managers.
- Contribute ideas to simplify and streamline workflows using system capabilities (Workday) and digital tools.
- Support the testing and rollout of improved processes, ensuring they are practical and user-friendly.
- Bring a mindset of continuous improvement: questioning “why it’s done this way” and proposing better alternatives.
- Explore how technology, automation and better use of data can enhance the employee experience from hiring through to onboarding and beyond.
Work Across Teams
- Partner with HR, Payroll and IT to resolve issues quickly.
- Help onboard and support system users.
Handle Data Responsibly
- Treat employee data with full confidentiality.
- Support compliance with GDPR and other data protection standards.
What We’re Looking For
Your Background
- Recent graduate (or about to graduate) in HR, Business, or similar
- First experience with HR data or HR systems (including internships)
Your Skills
- Strong Excel skills (you’re comfortable handling data and finding issues)
- Curious about systems and how things work, not just following processes
- High attention to detail, you care about getting things right
How You Work
- You take ownership, if something is broken, you don’t ignore it
- You are adaptable and open to new ways of working, especially when technology can help
- You are comfortable suggesting ideas and improvements, even early in your career
- You communicate clearly and keep things simple
- You’re organised and able to prioritise work effectively
Nice to Have (but not essential)
- Exposure to HR processes (employee lifecycle, payroll, benefits)
- Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
What You’ll Get
- A genuinely hands-on role where you learn fast
- Exposure to a global organisation
- The opportunity to build a strong foundation in HR processes technology and data
Hours/Travel/Shift:
Normal Office Hours. Hybrid working at GTT Amsterdam Office or Remote working with flexibility to travel as and when required for customer/team meetings.
