Charter Manufacturing is hiring an HRIS Analyst to support our Workday technology!
This is an opportunity for a curious, service-minded HRIS professional who enjoys solving problems, understanding how processes work, and helping people use technology more effectively. You will join a collaborative HRIS team that is continuing to expand its Workday capabilities and learning together as the platform evolves.
We are looking for someone who brings a strong Workday foundation, asks thoughtful questions, enjoys troubleshooting, and is motivated to develop deeper configuration and technical expertise.
Role Summary and ImpactAs a Workday HRIS Analyst, you will serve as a front-line partner to HR users and business stakeholders, helping them resolve system issues, improve processes, and make the most of our Workday platform.
You will troubleshoot break/fix issues, support system testing and release activities, contribute to large enhancements and HR projects, and create clear documentation that helps end users successfully navigate the system. You will work across Workday HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Learning, Talent, Performance, and Advanced Compensation.
This role also supports reporting, dashboards, data views, and analytics used by HR and business leaders. Success will require curiosity, learning agility, strong process thinking, and an interest in continuing to build hands-on Workday configuration capabilities.
Position SpecificsLocation: Hybrid opportunity at our corporate headquarters in Mequon, Wisconsin, with three days per week in the office (core days Monday and Thursday)
Travel: Up to 5%

Workday Support and Problem Solving
Serve as a front-line HRIS resource for HR users and business stakeholders.
Investigate and resolve Workday break/fix issues by evaluating system behavior, business processes, data, and user needs.
Identify root causes, recommend solutions, and communicate progress clearly to end users.
Partner with users to understand their questions, processes, and desired outcomes.
Escalate complex issues when needed and collaborate with internal team members and external partners to reach resolution.
Enhancements, Testing, and Releases
Lead new med-low effort and support large WD enhancements, system changes, and HR technology initiatives
Translate HR business needs into clear functional system requirements and specifications.
Participate in requirements gathering, solution evaluation, testing, implementation, and post-launch support.
Develop and execute test scenarios for enhancements, break/fix solutions, integrations, and Workday releases.
Validate that system changes meet business requirements and provide a positive end-user experience.
Continue developing hands-on Workday configuration knowledge and capabilities.
Projects and Process Improvement
Lead or support HRIS-enabled projects and help manage the prioritization of incoming requests.
Provide project management support across the HR technology portfolio.
Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, or improve how work is completed.
Partner with stakeholders to understand both the immediate request and the broader business process behind it.
Contribute to a team environment focused on shared learning, continuous improvement, and expanding Workday capabilities.
Reporting and Analytics
Convert HR business and reporting needs into functional specifications and reporting solutions.
Design, develop, and maintain custom reports, dashboards, data views, and analytics aligned with HR strategy and user needs.
Support existing HR reports, dashboards, and reporting tools.
Ensure reporting solutions provide accurate, useful information for business decision-making.
Promote self-service analytics and help HR partners use reporting tools more effectively.
Participate in Business Intelligence Center of Excellence meetings and support established data governance standards.
End-User Support and Documentation
Create and maintain clear end-user instructions, process documentation, technical documentation, and training materials.
Help users understand Workday functionality, reporting tools, and updated processes.
Communicate system changes, issue updates, and new functionality in language appropriate for different audiences.
Support user adoption by making HR technology easier to understand and use.
Compliance
Follow Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System procedures.
Meet essential job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field, or commensurate experience.
Three or more years of experience working with Workday technology.
Workday configuration experience involving break/fix resolutions, enhancements, and release functionality.
A service-first approach and focus on the end-user experience.
Project management experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication for different audiences.
Ability to think analytically and troubleshoot basic system functionality across the HR technology ecosystem.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Curiosity, learning agility, and a desire to continue building Workday configuration expertise.
Ability to understand business processes and connect user needs to practical system solutions.
Comfortable working in a collaborative environment where the team is continuing to learn and expand its capabilities.
Functional Human Resources experience.
Functional or techno-functional experience in UKG
Quantitative data experience involving data visualization and HR analytics.
