REMOTE with quarterly travel onsite.

As a Workday HRIS Administrator, you will be responsible for delivering Workday technology solutions that align with business strategies, while enabling efficiency, and promoting cross-company collaborative innovation. This role is part of the Human Resources department and is a direct report to the HRIS Manager. The HRIS Administrator will represent human resources interests as a participant in the organization by managing major projects, system upgrades, or other business initiatives. This position serves as a technical point of contact and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing process improvement opportunities. The HRIS Administrator must exhibit strong security and confidentiality practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather requirements and translate those business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Workday platform.
  • Supports the review, design, testing, implementation, and maintenance of Workday module(s) upgrades and releases of the following functional areas: HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, Learning and Absence
  • Collaborate with leadership and staff to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommend and implement solutions.
  • Configure system upgrades and develop new functionality while ensuring communication with all Workday users.
  • Develop and implement new processes and systems for efficient HR management.
  • Carry out testing activities and recommend solutions, or alternate methods, to meet business requirements.
  • Supervise the input of and ensure the integrity of highly confidential employee data.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users.
  • Create and maintain documentation on Business Processes, configuration, and other resources as needed.
  • Compile or assist with the creation of complex reports.
  • Serve as representative and liaison between HR, IT, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.
  • Ensure system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
  • Manage tickets with Workday, consultants and internal systems as needed
  • Research and participate in Workday community to resolve issues where answers are unknown and implement those solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business or Computer Science Certificate(s) or License(s): Workday certification preferred.

Experience: 3+ Years HRIS administration or related experience – Workday preferred. Payroll Configuration in Workday or related system required.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Workday Payroll & Absence Functional Areas expertise preferred.
  • Workday Reporting experience preferred.
  • Must exhibit strong security and confidentiality practices.
  • Ability to apply systems knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze new issues.
  • Must enjoy challenging and thought-provoking work and have a strong desire to learn and progress (motivated to self-learn).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel Skills.
  • Strong analytical and technical abilities, with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills, including written/verbal communication skills.
  • Experience capturing requirements and documenting business processes.
  • Ability to manage change effectively, always mindful of technology, business processes, and systems implications.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 0-10%
