As a Senior UX/UI Product Designer on the HRI team, you will help design the user experiences for our current and future product offerings. This is an exciting and unique position that requires a strong foundation in UX/UI design, interactive prototyping, and a passion for delivering best-in-class, intuitive interfaces for our shipping & future commercial robot products.

The HRI team at Boston Dynamics includes industry-experienced, on-screen and physical UX/UI Designers specialized in Robotics, 3D Animators with game and simulation development experience as well as experts in human-robot-interaction (HRI). The team works closely with Industrial Designers on prototyping robots and hardware interfaces to ensure our robots are easy to understand and simple to use. How you will make an impact:
Gather requirements and user feedback to inform design decisions
Conduct user studies and analyze data to understand user needs and behaviors
Create user journey maps, wireframes and flow diagrams
Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders in
regular review sessions
Iterate on designs based on feedback and user testing
Develop high-fidelity UI and graphic designs
Design interactive prototypes and interaction designs
Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders
You bring:
Degree in Design or related field
Proven experience with the full UX / UI process (min. 5 years professional experience)
Portfolio demonstrating your excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience with creating polished UI, interactive prototyping and interaction design
Openness to design feedback from diverse sources
Nice to have:
Background or experience in robotics, web-based interfaces and HTML and CSS
3D modeling and animation skills
Experience designing for AI applications and Digital Twin interfaces
Travel:
Occasional travel to customer sites for UX research, conferences and testing facilities
