Tasks and Qualifications:Strategic HR Partnership:
Act as a trusted advisor to senior management and the business on all HR-related matters.
Develop and implement HR strategies that support the wider business goals and drive organisational performance.
Partner with local business leaders to identify and address workforce challenges and opportunities.
Act as the main point of contact between the Workers’ Council and the organisation, ensuring clear communication and alignment on key initiatives. Support the Country Leader in addressing council-related matters and fostering a collaborative working relationship.
Employee Relations:
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
Conduct thorough and objective investigations when necessary.
Supporting the Global OCTR Process Locally:
Facilitate the implementation of the Global OCTR (Organisational Capability and Talent Review) process at the local level.
Ensure alignment with global talent management strategies and objectives.
Provide guidance and support to managers and employees throughout the OCTR process.
Organisational Development:
Drive organisational change initiatives and support business transformation efforts.
Facilitate team-building activities and workshops to enhance team cohesion and performance.
Implement and monitor employee engagement initiatives.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Conduct all mandatory labour negotiations and manage matters related to labour relations.
Ensure compliance with Belgian labour laws and regulations.
Manage HR policies and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure consistency.
Stay updated on HR best practices and legal requirements.
HR Metrics and Reporting:
Analyse HR data and metrics to inform decision-making. Prepare and present HR reports to senior management.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
Management:
Dotted line management for the local HR team guiding daily responsibilities, professional development, and performance objectives.
Foster a supportive environment that encourages team collaboration, professional growth, and high performance.
Facilitate seamless coordination on all local HR matters, proactively addressing issues to maintain smooth and compliant HR processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree Educated in Human Resources or a related subject would be advantageous but not essential.
Experience working in an international organisation would be advantageous to the role.
Ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
Ability to foster a positive and inclusive work environment and manage employee relations effectively.
Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software, with the ability to analyse HR data and metrics.
In-depth understanding of Benelux labour laws and regulations (Belgium & Netherlands).
A high level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Proven ability to manage change and influence the business culture amongst its people.
English and Dutch are essential to the role. The ability to speak French is desirable but not essential.
