The Role: 

As a people-first organization, we believe that the most valuable asset we have is our team. As VP of People and a core member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for building and owning all aspects of the People function at RippleMatch. You’ll grow and develop our people and culture, building a happy, high-performing, diverse organization that puts people at the forefront of everything we do. You will be responsible for architecting and executing the people strategy that will enable us to achieve our mission of increasing access to opportunity and making hiring effective for everyone.

You will work closely with our Director of Talent to own, communicate, and create alignment around a hiring plan and org chart for RippleMatch. While working to scale up our team, you’ll also ensure that our culture scales well -- staying strong, diverse, and inclusive. You’ll help make sure that managers across RippleMatch are exceptional at hiring, retaining, and training their teams. You’ll also work closely with our Team Lead, People Operations to make sure that everyone at RippleMatch feels heard, included, and develops and grows in their positions, while staying compliant. 

Lastly, you will be responsible for building deep, genuine relationships throughout the organization, living our core values, and serving as an exceptional standard for what culture means at RippleMatch.

Who you are

  • Experienced (12+ yrs) people leader with a strong track record of building and leading a people team of 10+ employees at a growth-stage startup
  • Minimum 3+ years leading and mentoring high performing teams, preferably at a remote-first organization
  • Strong proximity to talent at very high growth org
  • Strategic thinker who understands how to build and structure teams to achieve company-wide objectives and key results
  • Deeply empathetic; capable of building deep relationships at scale, putting people first, and successfully managing teams
  • Operationally excellent in compliance, compensation, and proper organizational leveling
  • Data-driven operator with a results-focused mindset
  • Hard-worker and highly productive
