Overview

Reporting to the Vice President, Executive Search, the Senior Recruiter's primary responsibility is to attract, source, and hire diverse talent that reflects the communities that Novant Health serves into Senior-level, clinical and corporate positions.

**This is a hybrid position with 40% on-site at the facility (New Hanover Regional Medical Center - Wilmington, NC).

The Senior Recruiter is responsible for the full candidate lifecycle, from managing hiring manager relationships, sourcing, screening, and hiring for a high-quality pipeline of diverse candidates and facilitate a smooth onboarding process. This position will participate in varying degrees of recruitment operations, sourcing, strategic consulting, executive recruitment, workforce planning, candidate experience, and other areas, as needed. Strong relationship management skills that include listening and consultative abilities, the ability to establish credible relationships with executive leadership, and effective negotiation, influencing and communication skills are a must for this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in related field required.
  • Five (5) years of experience in corporate/executive recruiting.
  • Previous healthcare recruiting experience and/or experience with search strategies and hiring best practices for hiring corporate and clinical leadership.
  • Executive presence, with ability to establish credible relationships with senior/executive leadership.
  • Proven experience as a recruiter hiring qualified individuals from a wide variety of diverse demographics
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, appropriately, and inclusively with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to act independently upon information and make decisions that achieve optimal results, as well as respect confidential information.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with a view of inclusion and belonging.
  • Strong analytical, consulting, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment to deliver results.
  • Knowledgeable about HR Best Practices and future trends in the healthcare industry.
  • Proficiency using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); Infor GHR and iCIMS preferred.
  • Advanced experience with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside of Novant Health.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully hires for corporate & clinical roles with a robust pipeline of qualified & diverse candidates.
  • Provides an exceptional candidate experience before, during and after the interview process.
  • Proactively develops and maintains a strong rapport with key leaders/senior leadership at the executive level with an understanding of the business unit and its recruitment needs within the context of their mission (including succession planning, hiring forecasting, turnover, new program development, etc.).
  • Provides counsel and expertise in all areas of recruitment and staffing (e.g., search firms, and advertising).
  • Ensures all hiring processes for assigned roles are in alignment with the Novant Health team member value proposition and brand and local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Executes recruitment plan by aggressively recruiting for well-qualified candidates from a variety of sources, managing selection process to include interviewing, assessing candidates, screening, and recommending finalists, and filling the staffing needs within the defined service and performance criteria.
  • Supports hiring teams with consistent recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes across the Enterprise.
  • Supports virtual and in-person career fairs and hiring events in support of facilities and strategic programs.
