THE ROLE
The Senior Human Resource Manager in our Fulfillment Center provides in-depth HR expertise and business partnership to the operation in Reno, NV. In partnership with the Site Director, the Senior Human Resource Manager is a leader that models our values and drives business results while ensuring a positive, inclusive and compliant work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all day-to-day HR operations in a fulfillment center environment with approximately 200-300 employees and temps
- Ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations, worker's compensation, leave administration and disciplinary actions
- Uphold the spirit and letter of Thrive Market policies ensuring a safe, productive and inclusive environment for all Thrivers
- Maintain strong employee relations throughout the facility and serve as an advocate, sounding board and advisor to all Thrivers
- Manage employee relations issues and partner with corporate HR as needed for support
- Manage worker's compensation process
- Manage onboarding and benefits enrollment
- Be a self-starter with the ability to balance conflicting points of view, differing priorities and function effectively under pressure
- Demonstrate discretion, integrity, and fair-mindedness
- Be a business partner and confidant to Site Director ensuring alignment on scaling the operation
- Manage multiple projects effectively with overlapping tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in HR or business administration
- 10+ years of HR experience with progressive leadership roles
- 3+ years of experience in HR management, preferably in 365/24/7 warehouse, fulfillment center or manufacturing environments
- Experience with employee populations 400+ and mostly non-exempt
- Deep understanding of state and federal wage and hour regulations, performance management, employee relations, engagement, coaching workers compensation and leave administration
- Experience with multiple HRIS systems
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis
- Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships across multiple levels of the organization
