Associate Director, HR Business Partner

To fulfill that mission as an Associate Director, Human Resources Business Partner in Boston, MA, you will partner with the Technology Organization – the team that delivers customer experiences that WOW millions of pet parents. You will partner closely with senior leaders in one of the fastest growing and most dynamic teams in e-commerce today; together you will drive organizational effectiveness and talent engagement with an emphasis on leading growth initiatives at scale, while enabling leaders to build, lead, and develop a diverse, high performing team. As the listening mechanism to and from the business, you will be a thought-leader on engagement, performance management, and leadership / career development initiatives. To be successful, you must be both strategic and hands-on, a builder and a coach, motivated by the challenge of inspiring people to love where they work with innovative people solutions built to scale, and dedicated to creating customer-centric approaches that ensure Chewy's long term success.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and implement an overall people strategy to deliver our business strategy, aimed at driving a high-performing, highly engaged culture, and facilitating an organizational design and long-range growth plan that optimizes employee experience and retention
- Partner with business leaders (primarily through the Director level) to collaboratively execute on the long-term vision for key talent initiatives that improve effectiveness, anticipate hiring and development needs, and help to achieve our overall business goals
- Collaborate across the HRBP Corporate teams, HR Centers of Excellence and senior business leaders to build and execute timely, effective, and scalable people programs and processes to support the business
- Lead the execution of key talent initiatives (driving change where needed) across the Product Organization –initiatives related to team member relations, leadership development, talent reviews and assessment processes, succession planning, organizational strategy and design, role based competency development, etc.
- Interpret internal and external data to make risk-based business decisions and recommendations that align with the organization's level of risk tolerance
- Drive future organizational design and change management initiatives to help maintain high-performing, motivated, and impactful teams
- Manage and develop a team of HRBP professionals
What You’ll Need:
- 5-7 years of progressive HR Business Partner experience in fast-paced, high rate-of-change environments
- 2-5 years of progressive HR leadership experience leading a team of HR Business Partners
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and appropriate HR certifications
- The proven ability to influence and drive change with senior leaders in a scaling organization, aligning the people strategy with business goals and growth
- Proven success in delivering high-impact people operations programs around performance management, culture, team member engagement and leadership development
- Position may require light travel
