Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned HR Technical Lead with specialized proficiency in HR systems security modules to join our organization. This role will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive security frameworks within our HR technology ecosystem, with a particular emphasis on Workday. The ideal candidate will provide both strategic vision and technical expertise in ensuring that security protocols align seamlessly with organizational policies, compliance requirements, and industry-leading best practices.

A deep understanding of data governance principles, operational guidelines, and quality control methodologies is essential for success in this position.

 

What will you do?

  • Employee Experience Focus

    • Design intuitive, employee-centric digital experiences

    • Identify pain points and develop technology solutions

  • Solution Design and Delivery

    • Lead HR module design and configuration, especially in Workday

    • Oversee system integrations for data accuracy and user experience

    • Document processes and provide training

  • Agile Methodology

    • Participate in agile ceremonies

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams

    • Manage backlog prioritization using Jira

  • Leadership and Expertise

    • Provide technical guidance and mentoring and serve as subject matter expert for HR technology

    • Support knowledge-sharing and process standardization

  • Continuous Improvement

    • Monitor HR technology trends

    • Gather feedback to refine solutions and drive global process simplification

What do you need to succeed?

  • 5+ years HR Systems experience (Workday preferred) with strong HR process knowledge with HR reporting and analytics proficiency

  • Expertise in HR systems security modules is essential

  • Data governance and quality control best practices

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
