Job Description

SUMMARY

Plan, configure, train, and maintain a key track of the human resources (HR) systems; maintain training documentation. Provide analytical expertise to HR and information technology (IT) and jointly plan for updates, implementation, and organizational change management of new functionality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • Reviews functional requirements, configuration, and delivery of HR systems.
  • Develops, reviews, and executes overall implementation plan for HR system updates and releases.
  • Coordinates with HR, IT, and payroll to ensure timely implementation of updates and releases.
  • Collaborates with HR, IT, and payroll leaders on prioritization and governance.
  • Assesses and provides on-going system-related training needs; reviews and updates training material; educates HR on impact of system related changes to HR processes.
  • Assists in developing overall HR systems strategy.
  • Leads and coordinates implementation of additional HR system modules, as needed.
  • Recommends training needs, system performance concerns, and areas for improvement based on data related to HR system usage.
  • Leads the design and creation of test cases/scenarios for updates, releases, new modules, and user acceptance testing.
  • Assists with determining functional requirements and configuration updates.
  • Supports business process improvement through optimization of staff, processes, and technology.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

Manage multiple projects without having direct supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in human resources, information technology, business, finance, or other related field, and five (5) to seven (7) years of functional/technical experience including an understanding of the processes supporting an HR system or an equivalent combination or education and experience. Oracle Cloud experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise-wide HR systems, including configuration.
  • Excellent project planning skills for multiple projects with competing priorities and oftentimes the same resources.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to develop training material and execute training.
  • Ability to solve complex problems through systematic analysis of processes with sound judgment and realistic understanding of relevant issues.
  • Ability to focus on things which matter most to achieving outcomes; commitment to task to produce outcomes with minimal direction and to find necessary resources.
  • Ability to influence or persuade others under positive or negative circumstances, adapt to different styles, listen critically, and collaborate.
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of situations and individuals while maintaining a sense of purpose and mature problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to manage large amounts of complex information, draw sound conclusions, and communicate that knowledge clearly.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting. Work may involve periods of high output demands. Work may require travel, including overnight stays.
