Your Impact
Handshake is hiring an HRIS Architect reporting to the Sr Director of People Operations. TheHRIS Architect at Handshake will be responsible for overseeing the company’s people, contributing to strategic direction and managing execution of offerings across the globe.
Your Role
- Provide subject matter expertise around optimizing and streamlining the HRIS eco- system primarily Workday. Lead and manage complex Workday projects including configuration and implementation in one or more of the following areas: Integrations, Security, Business Process Management, and/or Analytics and Dashboards.
- Review business requirements, author technical design documents and produce high quality integrations aimed at optimizing business processes spanning multiple technologies across the enterprise.
- Advise business teams in assessing technology needs of third party solutions. Assess compatibility with the HR Systems and recommend integration strategy and plan.
- Innovate for the future and evaluate new Platforms, develop Proof of concepts, pave for continuous improvements on the technology stack to ensure the technology solutions leverage cutting edge integration capabilities
- Facilitate requirements gathering and process mapping workshops, review business/functional requirement documents, author technical design documents, test plans, support plans and produce high quality integrations
- Identify, create and define application requirements for Workday integrations both inbound and outbound using EIB’s, Core Connectors, Studio, BIRT and XSLTs
- Utilize a comprehensive understanding of multiple data structures and sources to lead complex and sometimes unique data manipulation using advanced data extraction and analytical tools and techniques. Create and modify data structures through API’s, Web-Services, and Workday report writing.
- Analyze issues, unexpected results or process flows; identify failures, and provide break- fixes related to existing and future Workday interfaces
- Create and automate workflows across modules and systems. Provide ongoing recommendations to keep Workday business processes simple and efficient.
- Partner with cross functional teams to identify, assess, and solve complex business problems for integrating Workday with external applications across a wide array of HCM, IT, Payroll and other functional areas, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Collaborate on semi-annual Workday product update releases processes, including regression testing and contingency planning for larger project efforts. Recommend new modules and upgrades.
Your experience
- Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems or Business Administration.
- Experience implementing/enhancing/maintaining a Workday HRIS on a global scale is a must.
- Minimum 5 years of configuration experience with the Workday Product Suite, with expertise in at least five of the following product areas: Core HCM (required), Recruiting, Benefits, Advanced Compensation (required), Performance Management, Learning, Time Tracking and Absence Management.
- Experience building Core Connectors, Web Services, and Workday Studio, strongly preferred
- Experience building Workday PICOF/PECI integrations and BIRT reporting, strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of the data housed in Workday in different domains and across different data structures. Demonstrate expert ability to create and maintain complex calculated fields.
- Superior analytical and technical skills for translating and analyzing business needs into requirements, driving projects, and delivering effective, value-adding solutions
- Exceptional technical aptitude and strong desire for learning new technologies and solution architectures.
- Familiarity Must have experience designing workflows with with the full employment lifecycle (recruiting - onboarding - career development - offboarding)
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with basic Workday integration tools, including EIBs and reports as a service
**Note this role is based out of San Francisco, CA and required 3 days a week in office (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Compensation range
- $170,000 - $215,000
For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all U.S.-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
