Responsibilities combine hands‑on HR operations (timekeeping, records, attendance/LOA, onboarding) with practical business partnership to help leaders address workforce needs.

Floor Presence & Employee Support (Top Priority)

  • Maintain daily visibility on the production floor to proactively engage with employees and supervisors.
  • Serve as an accessible, approachable HR contact for questions, concerns, and feedback.
  • Surface emerging issues early and escalate appropriately to plant leadership or HR Operations.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Document issues and corrective actions in accordance with company policy.
  • Reinforce compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.

HR Operations & Administration

  • Support timekeeping and payroll‑related actions (e.g., rate changes, corrections) and respond to employee questions.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation; ensure data integrity.
  • Evaluate and follow site HR procedures and help drive consistency in application.

Attendance & Leave of Absence (LOA) Tracking

  • Monitor daily attendance, track trends, and partner with supervisors on attendance issues.
  • Assist employees with LOA processes (e.g., FMLA, disability) and coordinate timely communications and documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to policy and legal requirements related to time away from work.

HR Metrics & Reporting

  • Complete routine site‑level HR reporting, including headcount, staffing needs, and turnover/attrition.
  • Provide timely insights to plant leadership and HR Operations to support decision making.

Talent & Onboarding Support

  • Coordinate candidate interactions and support recruiting activities as directed.
  • Deliver a hands‑on onboarding experience to ensure new hires are welcomed, trained on core policies, and productive quickly.

Culture, Employee Engagement, Communication & Safety Partnership

  • Reinforce company values and consistent messaging through daily interactions and floor rounds.
  • Support site employee engagement activities and internal HR communications.
  • Model safe behaviors, comply with all PPE and safety protocols, and visibly partner with EHS initiatives.

Other Duties

  • Working knowledge of HR compliance, employee relations, and core HR operations (timekeeping, records, benefits/LOA).
  • Strong communication skills; ability to build trust and influence across levels.
  • High resilience and adaptability; ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced setting and work with minimal direction.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and basic reporting tools.
  • Ability to multi‑task and navigate shifting priorities effectively.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • On‑site role within an industrial manufacturing facility; frequent presence on the production floor required.
