Georgia Military College is seeking a detail-oriented, service-minded, and highly organized HR Support Specialist & Federal Work Study Coordinator to join the Human Resources team. This new position will serve as the administrative and transactional support hub for the HR office while also coordinating the Federal Work Study employment process for eligible student employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the administrative and transactional support hub for the Human Resources office.
- Coordinate the Federal Work Study employment process, including communication with students, hiring departments, and Financial Aid regarding eligibility and onboarding requirements.
- Support applicant tracking and onboarding for Federal Work Study students.
- Provide backup support for general applicant tracking and onboarding processes.
- Maintain HR files and records, including:
- Electronic filing
- Scan pile management
- Document organization
- Records cleanup
- Complete verifications of employment and support routine HR documentation requests.
- Provide first-level Paycom login support and basic troubleshooting.
- Manage purchase orders, HR office supplies, mail pickup and distribution, and general office administrative needs.
- Provide front office, walk-in, and general HR intake support.
- Route employee, student, and visitor questions to the appropriate HR team member.
- Provide administrative and logistics support for HR events and programs.
- Provide general backup support to the HR team during peak workload periods.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee and student information.
Annual Salary: $35,000.00
