Your role and responsibilities:
The HR Support Specialist provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team within a high-volume production environment supporting over 1200+ employees at the Fort Smith plant. Maintains accurate records, supports all stages of the employee lifecycle, and contributes to HR service delivery that improves employee experience while ensuring compliance.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Maintaining employee records, HRIS data, and both electronic and hard copy filing systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Compiling, tracking, and submitting required reports (e.g., absenteeism, attendance, and overtime reporting).
- Providing frontline HR support to employees, including assistance with benefits, HRIS, and general HR inquiries.
- Coordinating internal events, employee engagement activities (e.g., plant-wide meals, recognition events) and performing other assigned duties to support HR operations.
Qualifications for the role:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor degree in HR or related field preferred. 2+ years of HR, administrative, or manufacturing support experience required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high-volume, detail-oriented work and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in UKG, Workday, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
