The role
We have an exciting position available for an HR Specialist who will support the HR team in our Amsterdam office. The HR team's mission is to enable people to do great work. What will you be responsible for?
You will act as a trusted advisor on all HR topics for our office, working closely with the HR Business Partners in the team. Together with the junior and senior HR Specialist you are responsible for an excellent execution of the administration processes (including payroll), and you have subject matter expertise in employment law and regulatory matters.
Responsibilities may include:
- Work closely with the senior HR Specialist and the (international) HRBP team on employee related matters like performance related issues, illness and leave.
- With the senior HR Specialist and/or HR Business Partner, you act as the point of contact for health and long-term illness cases, in charge of the relationship with the external provider managing long-term sickness matters. Prepare management reporting on illness.
- In cooperation with the other HR Specialists, you ensure that all standard processes are administered efficiently, fairly and consistently. You see opportunities to initiate improvements for the processes that are in place.
- You will oversee and coordinate the monthly payroll input.
- You give advice on individual compensation and benefits queries, and you support the annual compensation cycles including benchmarking.
- You support the year end performance process for both Business Professionals as Legal staff.
Who will you be working with?
Our team exists of three HR Business Partners, three HR Specialists (one is this open position), one Resource Manager, one Payroll administrator, one Recruitment Manager and two Recruiters. You will work closely with the HRBP's and have daily contact with employees and managers. You will also work with your colleagues in other countries in Europe
Qualifications
Your experience
- You have a relevant HBO degree (for example: Human Resource Management).
- You have at least 5 years of experience within HR.
- You have a proven track record in HR administration including payroll.
- You have good communication skills, both written and oral.
- You are available for 4 or 5 days per week.
- You are fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
Experience in the legal or other professional services sector and in an internation environment is an advantage. You have flexible and effective communication skills and can build and manage effective stakeholder relationships. You have excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail
