About the role:
Join Takeda as a Human Resource Site Lead where you will lead the Human Resource function for our multi-location (Lexington, Alewife, North Reading, Belmont) Biologics manufacturing facility with over 700 employees. You will also work with People Leaders to help enhance their teams' capabilities. As part of the Site Leadership Team, you will report to MA Bio Ops Site Head and work with peers across a Global Biologics Operating Unit.
How you will contribute:

  • Manage HR Service delivery for MA Bio Ops (Lexington, Alewife, North Reading, Belmont and Cell Therapy) including: Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Succession Planning, Employee Relations, and Employee Engagement.
  • Develop people / talent components of the business (site) strategy.
  • Bring best practice and external perspectives to strategic and operational business discussions and people management.
  • Manage the relationship with business leaders; orchestrate the delivery and implementation of core HR programs through COEs and HR People Solutions group.
  • Plan for potential workforce scenarios based on the businesses long range plans; conduct an assessment of workforce gaps, and identify opportunities to build the talent pipeline.
  • Be a partner to Senior Leaders on the creation of development plans for talent and determine what development solutions may be appropriate.
  • Work with the business and within HR to implement formal or informal programs to improve the performance of the organization.
  • Partner with leaders in creating a culture and work environment that encourages employee engagement.
  • Develop the members of the MA Bio Ops HR team.
  • Advise leaders in dealing with senior level employee relations issues. Partner with ER and the legal team to understand trends in employee performance issues and advise on appropriate remediation


Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an HR discipline or related field
  • 10+ years of HR experience, with 7+ in a management role
  • Pharma, Biotech or complex manufacturing environment experience
  • Expertise in HR best practices with the ability to build sustainable long-term strategies


Important Considerations:
At Takeda, our patients rely on us to create quality products and we aim to create a safe environment for our team members. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product or putting anyone at the site in harm's way. In this role, you may:

  • Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
  • Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
  • Work in a cold, wet environment.
  • Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
  • Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$169,400.00 - $266,200.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
