Your role

The HR Services Manager leads a team delivering operational excellence in HR Systems, Advice, and Administration (via PSS and local teams). This role ensures seamless execution of critical HR processes with a customer-first approach, while contributing to HR initiatives, business improvement projects, and the development of new services.

  • Lead end-to-end HR service delivery, ensuring efficiency and quality through the HR Services Team

  • Provide expert HR advice to managers, employees, and HR on policies, processes, and complex employee matters (e.g., probation, agreement interpretation)

  • Establish and maintain HR infrastructure, including standard processes and compliance frameworks

  • Manage and develop the HR team, ensuring optimal staffing, budget adherence, and competency planning

  • Oversee HR Systems delivery, including administration, reporting, analytics, and system enhancements

  • Drive customer-centric improvements, aligning service offerings with organisational goals and HR strategy

  • Act as key contact for PSS service delivery to Australia, ensuring quality and service level compliance

  • Collaborate across HR, CoE, Domain HR, and Finance to ensure seamless service handoffs and operational efficiency

  • Enhance employee experience through efficient HR transactional services

  • Boost user engagement and ensure support materials are effective and fit for purpose
     

Your experience
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

  • Proven expertise in generalist HR, with a broad understanding of HR functions and best practices

  • Experience leading or working within an HR Service Centre or Shared Services team is highly desirable

  • Track record of collaborating with offshore delivery teams, ensuring seamless HR operations

  • Pragmatic problem-solver with strong decision-making abilities and a results-driven approach

  • Exceptional customer service orientation, with the ability to build and sustain strong stakeholder relationships

  • Influential communicator and negotiator, capable of driving organisational processes and fostering a positive workplace culture

  • Resilient and adaptable, thriving in fast-paced environments with evolving business needs

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a professional telephone manner and the ability to provide clear, accurate guidance

  • Experience in process improvement, with a focus on designing and implementing efficient HR solutions

  • Data-driven mindset, leveraging metrics, MOS, and visual management tools to enhance service delivery and operational excellence
