Job Description
Responsible for consultancy and application of compensation expertise while providing guidance/recommendations to the business, senior management, and regional sales, finance managers and Business HR leaders. Embedded as a core regional team member converting strategic needs to effective incentive structure. Ensuring design and application of design consist of sound, compliant and effective compensation principles. Inclusion of best practices, appropriate guidelines, strategic emphasis, system and cross functional partner needs and considerations.
- Consult & partner with assigned regional sales and finance leads identifying and recommending incentive plan efficiencies and growth spaces that enable and align with the business organizational structure and enable strategy.
- Regional Performance Period Setup activities that include process step management, support with managers ensuring alignment with policy and business strategy.
- Ensure all incentives and bonuses are designed and set up accurately and efficiently in accordance with the compensation policy and guidelines via project management.
- Educate/familiarize the incentive employees, managers and finance analysts on Agilent’s incentive compensation foundations to ensure understanding of the plans and how they work including updates on changes and new deployments.
- Create presentations with data analysis and recommendations via insights for sales and finance leaders to then determine actions on the sales incentive plan effectiveness and strategic attainment.
- Coordinate efforts and ensure resolution for any escalated inquiries from Global Incentive Pay Organization (GIPO) operations as it relates to sales incentive plans, job classifications, Key Strategic Objective (KSO) / Sales Performance Incentive Fund (SPIF) and pay metrics.
- Proactive approach on identifying opportunities for additional automation and/or process streamlining.
- Collaborate with cross functional partners on tools and projects where incentive plans or processes may be impacted or require new design ensuring all dependencies and requirements are vetted and impact assessed.
- Act as a change agent among stakeholders, end users, partners for incentive plans, processes and strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent.
- Understanding of Agilent compensation plans and the impact/value for strategy success, strong working knowledge of core incentive design principles and best practices.
- Critical Thinking, Creative Design, Data Analysis and AI Skills - Analytical thinker with the ability to process information quickly, challenge conventional norms and views, leveraging tools and resources to make actionable recommendations.
- Strong business & financial acumen (Agilent), Sales Structure Familiarization, Sales Operations, & Agilent Sales Life Cycle & Consulting.
- Understanding of impact of sales successful incentive plans & other reward and recognition programs within a shared governance and of risks for Agilent of ineffective plan deployments.
- Self-leadership with adaptability, flexibility and strong observational / situational awareness.
- Project Management experience reflecting Curiosity, Consultative, Investigative & Problem Solving/Analysis Techniques.
- Demonstrate capacity to piece together fragments of information, applying conceptual models, recognizing patterns, and drawing and framing conclusions in real time with business partners.
- Communications [high level of executive presence and ability to establish credibility], and Interpersonal Skills; ability to influence partners and senior leaders and support change.
- Change Management & Adaptability.
- Excelled in collaboration with sales, leadership, finance and business analysis with the ability to quickly build rapport and gain client trust cross functional.
