Your Mission

As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, directing and coordinating of all HR activities and employees of Vopak Terminal Australia (VTA) and Vopak Victoria Energy Terminal (VVET). This is a key role in the organization working with the management and leadership teams and partnership with global/BU HR teams in leading and overseeing all HR initiatives and activities for the country. 

What will you be doing?

  • Formulate, develop, lead and implement local HR strategy and initiatives that are aligned with the overall business strategy and support business objectives for the country.
  • Lead to acquire, develop and retain talents, including performance management, succession planning, talent development, aligned with current and future business needs.
  • Work closely with the local management team, leadership team, business leaders and alignment with the global/regional HR teams to meet business objectives and requirements.
  • Develop functional or operational policies and develop policy frameworks for the organization. Take responsibility for creating underlying procedures, ensuring compliance to local regulations and alignment with business needs, including monitoring the implementation and competitiveness.
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of the latest HR developments and provide suitable interpretation to management team, leadership team, business leaders, and employees within the organization.
  • Develop and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, employees, unions, government bodies and external vendors.

Does this sound like you?

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience within a multinational corporation, including at least 6 years in a HR Business Partnering capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated track record of holding strategic leadership positions.
  • Proven capability in driving key change management, organizational transformation, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Extensive experience managing industrial relations, enterprise agreement (CLA) negotiations, and operational turnarounds.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality results under pressure and within strict timelines.

Skills Required

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience within a multinational corporation
