Ecolab is looking for a HR People Partner!
The HR People Partner will provide proactive, commercially focused and pragmatic HR support to the Pest division
across the UK and Ireland. Working as part of the UK & Ireland HR team, the role will partner with managers to
strengthen people capability, support effective employee relations, enable consistent execution of core people
processes, and contribute to an inclusive, engaging and high-performing culture aligned to Ecolab’s values.
The role will act as a trusted advisor to managers, using people data, business insight and sound judgement to identify
trends, manage risk and support practical solutions that improve associate experience, manager effectiveness and
business performance.

What will you do:
People partnering and manager support
- Partner with Pest division managers to support delivery of the people agenda, ensuring consistent application of company procedures and effective risk management.
- Provide practical, commercially focused HR advice across a field-based, multi-site and customer-facing environment.
- Coach and build manager capability in core people processes, enabling leaers to manage confidently, consistently and in line with Ecolab values.
- Support managers to create inclusive, engaging team environments where associates feel valued, heard and able to perform at their best
Employee relations, compliance and risk
- Advise managers on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence management and capability cases, in line with company procedures and employment legislation.
- Identify and escalate complex, sensitive or high-risk matters appropriately, ensuring clear judgement, robust documentation and balanced decision making.
- Remain up to date with relevant UK and Ireland employment law, internal polcy requirements and external HR trends, translating these into practical guidance for managers.
- Support consultation activity, restructures, TUPE transfers, acquisitions and integration activity where required, including risk assessment, due diligence and employee communication suppor.
Talent, performance and engagement
- Support recruitment, onboarding and probation processes, working with managers and Talent Acquisition to ensure a positive and effective new starter experience.
- Promote timely completion of performance, development and talent processes, ensuring associates have clear objectives, regular feedback and meaningful development conversations.
- Use engagement feedback, Your Voice Matters insights and manager conversations to identify themes and support practical action plans.
- Contribute to talent discussions by helping managers identify capability needs, succession risks and opportunities to grow internal talent.
Data, Insights and Continuous improvement
- Use people data and insight to identify trends in absence, attrition, employee relations, engagement and manager capability, recommending actions that support business priorities
- Proactively identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve consistency and drive efficiencies through digital tools, MyEcolab, Workday and smarter ways of working.
- Collaborate with HR Operations, HR Service Delivery, Centres of Excellence, specialist teams and external providers to ensure effective delivery of divisional and country people priorities.
- Lead or contribute to HR projects, change activity and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen the associate experience and enable business performance
Minimum qualifications
- Strong HR generalist experience, ideally gained within a commercial, fast-paced, multi-site or field-based environment.
- Proven experience advising managers on employee relations, absence, performance, capability and other people management matters.
- Sound working knowledge of relevant UK employment law, with awareness of Ireland employment considerations or willingness to develop this knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with managers, stakeholders and HR colleagues, including within matrix structures.
- Strong judgement, influencing skills and ability to provide pragmatic, risk-balanced and commercially aware solutions.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively and make decisions within agreed frameworks.
- Confident using people data to identify trends, present insight and recomend practical actions.
- Resilient, adaptable and comfortable working with ambiguity, changing priorities and competing demands.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally at all levels.
- Willingness and ability to travel across the UK and Ireland as required.
Desirable qualifications
- CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD qualification, or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting a customer-facing, mobile or operational workforce.
- Experience supporting businesses across both the UK and Ireland.
- Experience contributing to change management, TUPE, acquisition, restructuring or organisational effectiveness projects.
- Experience using Workday, MyEcolab or similar HR systems and service delivery tools.
