We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Operations Specialist to join our team in Japan. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our HR processes and will involve working closely with various departments to support our employees and maintain a positive work environment.
What you’ll be doing:
Facilitate and manage company policies and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. Respond in accordance with laws such as the Labor Standard Act.
Manage and ensure smooth procedures, HR Operations, and the HR day-to-day administrative tasks such as transfers, payroll changes, promotions, and terminations.
Manage employee transitions as hiring, onboarding and offboarding, promotions, and maintain regular HRIS and Workday input by keeping up-to-date records of all employees.
Provide and support any necessary documents and reports required from official authorities to ensure company compliance with labor and social insurance laws related to all HR matters.
Handle labor-related consultations (labor consultations, mental health and various types of leave of absence. etc.)
Handle employees’ inquiries such as payroll, tax, onboarding procedures and exit procedure.
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in HR-related area preferred or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience working in a fast-paced HR department in an operation role at a business company is preferred (with 100 or more employees).
Experience in a multinational company.
In-depth knowledge of Japanese labor laws and HR best practices.
Previous experience supporting HR integration after M&A activities, preferred
Fluency in Japanese and English, both written and spoken.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Experience working in HRIS systems, Workday experience
Ability to exercise effective judgement; work with sensitive and confidential information.
