The HR Operations Specialist works under the supervision of the Sr. Manager, HR Operations. This position is responsible for staffing the HR reception desk, troubleshooting and supporting employee transactions in Workday HCM.  Acts as a point of contact employee support requests and assists with assigning and triaging HR email box.

This role will have the opportunity to work partially at our campus and remotely.

Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day end user Tier 1 and II transactions.
  • Provide I-9 verification and assist with employee onboarding.
  • Staff the HR front desk/reception.
  • Support Fred Hutch by responding to employee questions answering questions regarding the policies and procedures of each organization.
  • Review incoming forms for accuracy, process, and archive into electronic system.
  • Answer multi-line phones.
  • Respond to and appropriately direct ad hoc customer requests for forms, data, etc.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding employee and applicant information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two years general office experience or exposure to customer service methodology and practice required
  • Basic computer experience including word processing, spreadsheets, and database
  • Exceptional customer service skills required
  • Must be detail oriented and demonstrate experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must be able to take initiative with workload and know how to prioritize work
  • Must be able to work in a team environment being flexible, positive, approachable, and have strong interpersonal communication skill

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 year of previous experience in Human Resources Department
  • Knowledge and experience with Workday HCM

The hourly pay range for this position is from $27.01 to $38.45 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance health, well-being, and financial security.
