As a Valeo Employee Services Specialist, you will manage the US immigration population, apply the instructions and procedures defined by VALEO and the US payroll and human resources teams. You will participate in the harmonization of processes and contribute to permanent improvement of the service delivery by proposing changes and improvements. You will act as the primary or secondary support to the HR service concerning employee’s questions
About the Role:
Manage the US relocation process; coordinating with external vendor to adhere to Valeo’s policies; creating POs and receiving invoices
Launch new and/or renewals for US work authorization with our external immigration attorney
Track and monitor employees US work authorization status and expiration dates and update after new petitions are approved
Audit to ensure compliance with employee’s petition and our internal systems.
Complete the online portal questionnaire and required information for each immigration case.
Ensure that public access files are accurate and complete.
Ensure that all HR team members are educated on Form I-9 and eVerify; confirm annual audits are being completed by site HR; and eVerify access is current.
Answer immigration questions through email, ticketing system, and creating pro-active messages
Continuously find ways to improve our tracking through automation and our HR systems
Manages and control the payrolls of employees in connection with the International Mobility; updates the payroll system and reviews payroll slips with International Mobility
Supports responses to external tax providers for both expatriates and commuters
Prepares payrolls as assigned; reviews and confirms interface changes of payroll records; uploads and verifies time from the timekeeping system.
Balances payroll by auditing information; identifies variances and processes pay resolutions
Resolves all payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing data; makes recommendations as appropriate
Understands payroll withholding rules for both federal and state taxes
Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures, obtains required authorization for all payments
Works closely with Payroll specialists to support payroll system operation and security.
What You Will Need:
You have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
1-3 years of HR, immigration or payroll experience.
You have strong knowledge and ability to effectively use Google G-Suite software.
You have excellent written and oral communication skills.
You have strong analytical skills.
You are able to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
You have direct experience with HR or payroll functions and processing.
